Gwen's birthday bash sangria

  • 1/2 cup peach schnapps
  • 2 tbsp. superfine sugar
  • 2 peaches, pitted and thinly sliced
  • 1 nectarine, pitted and thinly sliced
  • 1 bottle (750 ml.) riesling
  • 1 lemon, sliced into thin wheels
  • 1 cup club soda (optional)
  • Mint sprigs, for garnish


Mix schnapps and sugar together until sugar is dissolved. Place peach and nectarine slices in a tall pitcher. Add schnapps mixture and toss gently to make sure fruit is saturated. Pour in wine and chill for at least an hour. Just before serving, add lemon slices and optional club soda. Serve in tall glasses filled with ice. Add mint sprigs for garnish.
