Life-long friendships, new careers inspired by the intrigue of working the land, family dreams of handing down their farms to the next generation and the sheer beauty of California's diverse landscape have set the stage for the 2006 California Farm Bureau Federation photo contest winners to tell their stories.
This year's crop of photos was the largest to date in the contest's 25-year history. Judges reviewed more than 350 entries to select those that best represented six categories: Family on the Farm, Caring for the Land, Natural Beauty, Kids and Critters, From Farm to Fork and All in a Day's Work.
Here for you to enjoy are the faces of California agriculture and the stories behind them. www.cfbf.com/programs/photo
