Avocado butter

  • 2 avocados
    Juice of 1 lime
    Zest of 1/2 lime
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
    1/4 cup neutral oil (like grape seed)


Remove the avocado flesh and combine all ingredients except oil in a food processor. Start the processor and slowly drizzle the oil in until it is a smooth mixture, remove the butter and refrigerate.

Note: You can use this recipe on sandwiches or prepare gourmet popcorn. Shake the popcorn with a little salt and chipotle chili powder. Toss the combination with a little avocado butter and enjoy.
