Chipotle puree

  • 1 can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce


Blend peppers and sauce until smooth. Add a small amount of water if needed. Strain to remove seeds and skin. Store in the refrigerator or freeze large batches in thin layers in resealable plastic bags. Break off chunks to use as needed.

Chipotle puree is great in barbecue sauces for an added kick and combined with citrus juice or honey to give it a bit of sweetness over grilled salmon, chicken or pork.
