Pear-raspberry jam

Pear-raspberry jam


1 (10-oz.) box frozen raspberries
5 ground pears
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tbsp. orange rind
6 cups sugar
1/2 bottle liquid pectin, such as Certo brand

From the Hemly family, Courtland, California


Thaw raspberries and add pears to make 4 cups. Put in kettle with lemon juice, orange rind and sugar. Bring to a hard boil. Boil for 1 minute, stirring. Remove from heat and stir in pectin. Ladle into jars.

A favorite serving suggestion: Place a spoonful of jam on a pear half.
