Warm overnight oats

Waking up to a warm breakfast, even in summer, is the ultimate in comfort food. Stir in your favorite toppings and you're good to go.

Ingredients

Overnight oats
2 cups steel cut oats
6 cups water
Pinch of salt

Topping options (per serving)
1 tbsp. honey or brown sugar
1 tbsp. jam
1/2 Asian pear, diced
1/2 banana, sliced
4 strawberries, diced
1 tbsp. dried fruit
1 tbsp. roughly chopped or slivered almonds (unsalted)

Instructions

Place oats in a slow cooker, then add water and salt. Cover and cook on "warm" setting overnight. In the morning, top with your favorite toppings.

Serves 4
